Shark Alliance

The Shark Alliance is a not-for-profit coalition of non-governmental organizations dedicated to restoring and conserving shark populations by improving European fishing policy.
The mission of the Shark Alliance is two-fold: To close loopholes in European policy regarding the wasteful and unsustainable practice of shark finning;  and to secure responsible, science-based shark fishing limits for long-term sustainability and ecosystem health.

A SEED Europe

A SEED Europe (Action for Solidarity, Equality, Environment, and Development Europe) is an European network linking youth groups and individuals all over Europe. Action for Solidarity, Equality, Environment and Diversity, (A SEED Europe) believe that people have the potential to change their lives and communities for the better and we aim to support and empower both groups and individuals who are striving to do so.

 

Friends of the Earth Europe

Friends of the Earth Europe campaigns for sustainable and just societies and for the protection of the environment, unites more than 30 national organisations with thousands of local groups and is part of the world's largest grassroots environmental network, Friends of the Earth International.

 

European Forest Institute

european forest instituteEFI is an international organisation established by European States. By early October 2006, twelve European States (Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Turkey) had ratified the Convention on EFI. With its 129 member organisations and seven Project Centres, it offers the best forest research contacts and acknowledged collaboration at the European level.

 

ETFRN

european tropical forest research networkThe European Tropical Forest Research Network (ETFRN) is a forum for communication between European organisations, researchers, EU institutions and others concerned with (sub-)tropical forest research. The ETFRN Network seeks to promote the involvement of European research expertise towards the conservation and wise use of forests and woodlands in tropical and subtropical countries.
