Leopards
Leopards can be found in almost whole Africa, south of the Sahara and northeast Asia. They are all well known for their dark spots arranged in rosettes, covering much of their body. They don't have the central spot as found in jaguars. Besides being known for their spots, they are also known for running very fast with speeds up to a hundred kilometres per hour. They're good climbers and often climb trees, and they are able to swim. Humans have destroyed the habitat of leopards for cattle, farming and other human activities. Leopards now face decreasing living space and their usual prey is decreasing as well, due to human migration and lack of food. This left some leopards with little choice but to kill cattle and domestic livestock. As a result, humans killed many leopards at random in an effort to protect their livestock, causing leopard populations to decrease immensely. Leopards are now classified as endangered species by the IUCN, and are listed under CITES Appendix I due to their low population numbers.
